REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL
DESCRIPTION
The Steven Worby Community Award is a $5000 award will be presented to a youth group or team that completes a project or service that serves the community in Halton Hills. The intent is to provide funds to achieve their desired goal – for example travel expenses, registration costs, purchase of equipment, for their participation within the group, etc. The application for the funds is to provide a plan to complete some community service for the betterment of the community – for example, clean up a park, paint playgrounds equipment, provide a project at a seniors residence.
Must be a team or group operating in Halton Hills.
BACKGROUND
About Steven Worby
Steven unexpectedly passed away on November 18th, 2019 in his 30th year. Steven had a tremendous impact on so many people. Steven’s hard work, positivity, selflessness, strength, protection, and willingness to help anyone in need was truly admired by his friends and family. Steven had such a zest for life and was always smiling. Steven loved playing hockey in the winter and golf in the summer.
